I Am Anxious

I contacted a friend who recently came back home.
I asked her what she was doing today.
She responded with work and fireworks later and asked if I wanted to go.
It looks like there will be others coming as well.
I just wanted to hang out with her,not the rest of her friends.
I am introverted.
She came back home recently and I still haven't gotten to talk to her about why she left, why she came back, why I haven't seen her in 2 years etc.

This is so me. I really don't like the idea of meandering through strangers at my friends' parties, especially not when there my only friend there.

Makes me wonder if I'll have any success at making good company with the rest or will look as awkward as I feel.

Some drinks usually help me relax though.

Try asking questions and making sincere comments about those questions. People love to talk about themselves.

I hope you can enjoy yourself.

@LithiumDrop Yess. I decline to go to a birthday party for that reason. I only knew the birthday person!. Meaning I'd be sitting alone or forced to talk to strangers and smile when they tell their inside jokes.

I wonder that too. Do I look as awkward as I feel.

I hope she cancels lol. Ugh why did I ask her anything
