In Japan, every place has its own traditional snacks that they sell to visitors/tourists in decorated boxes. Every little place has this. When you visit a place on the weekend, you buy the snacks of the local place and take them to work to give your colleagues. So every week people get to enjoy different snacks from different places.
Yes Japanese cuisine is lovely. Even their fast food is great; I love onigiri, which is rice formed into triangular shape and wrapped in seaweed. Inside you'll find a nice little surprise like salted salmon, or any other sour or salty ingredient. Yummie! 😋
I'm known to my friends as the invisible girl... Fun fact: I found bottles of Italian mineral water in a supermarket in Nagoya... and fruits are terribly expensive 😐
That is cool. A few times I brought treats to my professors and some classmates when coming back from Greece. Unfortunately In the UK it's a big health and safety concern but most were happy haha
