I watched it last night on Hulu. It was really sweet. I felt like some stuff was omitted, like the screenplay had some holes, but overall I enjoyed it. It was sweet and tender and funny, and I liked the characters and the friendships they formed.

Yes, I picked up on that too, but overall it's one of those that I could watch again.

I just liked that it showed how much much the characters helped each other to grow and become better people.

The garden proved to be a metaphor for those relationships. They all just needed the right environment to bloom and grow...

@AlienZipper Exactly. I felt a bit like her with the garden. It was a daunting task, but I liked how they all came together because of it, and the metaphor for that.

I've always liked Tom Wilkinson as an actor. He's pretty versatile.

I don't know if you ever watched the BBC Sherlock Holmes series with Benedict Cumberbatch, but the guy who played Moriarty in them is the father of the two little red headed girls in this film.

@AlienZipper Yes, I like him too, and yes, I watch Sherlock, and I knew that. :) The mean librarian was the mean almost-bride to Hugh Grant in “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” the one they called “duckface.”
