Why do we sometimes lose the warm feelings we once had for a friend/ cherished person even though they did nothing against us?

As time goes by you grow in a different direction and drift apart. Things you once held important are not anymore. It's all a part of growth. Happened to me. We're very different people now.

Circumstances change. Apparently proximity determines a lot of feelings. When you grow apart physically, feelings can change. That's the first thing that springs to my mind.

I think sometimes we find out things along the way from observing them through either actions or words and feel differently.
People change, life keeps moving and some friendships don't move in the same direction.
I don’t, unless they have done something, sometimes not even then. I tend to love people forever.
But some people get bored easily, I suppose.
