Private sector vs Government sector?

Do you think working in government sector is better or in private sector? Tell me the reasons why.

I'll take public sector any day.

In private sector your job is to make your employer richer than you. That's it. Anything else is window dressing.

If you 'generate' ten thousand dollars of profit, congrats, here's your pittance of a wage from that thousand dollars.

Private sector also tends to be non-union so good luck if your boss is abusive or rips you off.

Governments can suck, but in the least doing public sector work you're usually keeping a part of society operating that is useful to someone, and doing it -because- it is useful.
