I think this word needs more value

In times I recall, the word friendship denoted a bond that was not easily broken ,much as the ties of bloodline, or family tree. It was virtually unbreakable and required nothing more than true loyalty. Looking at what these days passes for this word sometimes disheartens my faith in spoken phrase. I think a serious reassessment is in order to put us back on track.
