MEN!

Using his superior strength and musculature, the Lord and master was persuaded to heft a couple of blocks of concrete 'mok-rok' shapes from one part of the garden to exactly where I wanted them. Since I have plantar fasciitis and can't find my gardening gloves, but being eager to help anyway, I supervised. Obviously I had to confine myself to hobbling back and fore with my hands in my pockets, shouting encouragement and instructions from various vantage points. It often sounds as if he doesn't appreciate it, when he swears, but it's only natural for a chap to get stressed when doing 'muscle work.' Anyway, to make things easier for him, I pointed out how he ought to tackle it, and where he was going wrong. I never let him struggle on his own. Well, he's so sweet and considerate and selfless he practically begged me to go in and sit down, and rest my foot. But I couldn't do that until I could see those rocks had been positioned exactly right.
It was quite exhausting, supervising. But worth it. It's really satisfying after hours of hard graft, and you can finally lie back (my bad foot was really throbbing after all that hobbling about) and rest your legs on the arm of the sofa.

Funny thing, this, though, considering how concerned he'd been for me to go in and rest my foot. He expected ME to make the tea.

It is to be commended when one knows how to delegate authority

@damselfly I feel for you
A disease is eating my spine
After I was told I would never build homes again and they removed part of my spine
I built homes for 10 more years toured doing Christian concerts with my kids
As I am sure you know ,where there is a will there is a way
If it were me I would modify a walking boot and be back in business ..letting my calf carry my weight

The Meniscus is shredded in both knees and no one believed me ,xray said my knees were healthy ,so no MRI

In 2013 when a doctor was going to prove I was a liar once and for all ,and only seeking pain meds
He ordered a full body MRI
The results were 12 decompressed discs ,both knees bone to bone ,spurs in both shoulders ,impingement in the right one
collapsed lobe of the left lung

I am familiar with crippling pain

I am familiar with your condition as well
Which one of us you trying to kid that you can't manage to make tea ?

It is a question of proportion. There is no kidding involved. The Lord and master simply shlepped a few lumps of mok rok from here to there, and he's got muscles in places a lot of people don't even have places. Meanwhile I did the hard work of directing where they should go, using taste and judgement as well as understanding of the process. With plantar fasciitis, which I have still got. And do I complain? Yes. I bloody do. And what do I get for my troubles? Laughed at.

@damselfly I am sorry ,,I never meant to make light of your condition ,,I use a walker like a wheel chair on my bad days and I take care of myself ,
But you are right ,,supervision is worthy of its pay
Please accept my apology for making you think I was laughing at you ,,

@goliathtree no, there's nothing expensive or hard to recreate that they can wreck. Even herons are limited in what vandalism they can do
