@Pizzanow same when I was growing up. It didn’t matter who was there when you got into trouble we either got the paddle (hanging on kitchen wall) or the belt (hanging on a hook in the hallway). Sometimes it was very very embarrassing.

But I usually had to go to dads workbench in the basement and wait for him for what he called “a taste of the belt.” He kept an old belt handing on a hook above the bench. When he was ready I’d have to pull down my pants and bend over a stool and he would whip my ass.
