Why does part of my house smell like burnt fire in one side of the house/room? Is it the AC?

Hi, my house in the master’s bedroom smells burnt like fire. My dad described it to be a popcorn smell but my parenrs tried locating the smell everywhere. It’s mostly in the master’s bedroom. It smelled in smaller rooms and the hallway. It wasn’t in the kitchen because I heated up ice cream to eat (yes, I heat up ice cream so it can melt and be easier for the ice cream to put on cones). My siblings wanted it.
And the burnt smell started smelling afterwards after the AC turned on and the microwave was off. We checked the laundry room, the washer and dryer but they were off. The stove is off in the kitchen. Everything was off except for two tvs, and my siblings ran out of their room because their tv turned off by itself like it logged them out, so they ran crying to our parents. I wasn’t with them at the time, but the smell didn’t come out of their tv because I checked both tvs and the xboxes were a little bit hot, so we turned them off and then again, the smell of burnt was there again because our mom said. It’s in the master’s bedroom, and I kind of smell it in my room as well.
Edit: The smell isn’t there anymore so it was an on off situation here.
I’ll tell you in order:
1. I put ice cream in the microwave to melt it
2. I put it there for 15 seconds then got it out and then added a few time in there for about 5 s
then got it out.
3. I put the ice cream in cones for my siblings and I to eat them.
4. I went to the master bedroom where half of my family was in. Then my dad noticed it smelled like burnt popcorn. Then the rest of the family including me noticed it.
5. The smell was in the whole room and we started checking everything from outlets plugs the AC and everything we could think of.
6. The smell went into the smaller rooms and the hallway.
7. We checked the laundry room too in case we missed anything but no, the clothes in there were fine. It was already off and it was opened but nobody remembered who opened it.
8. We closed it but it wasn’t left on or anything.
9. I checked the xboxes but they felt a little bit hot.
10. My siblings ran away from their room, and I heard some weird sound like a sizzle or snake hiss and I personally thought it was outside from the AC unit thing outside but it wasn’t. My siblings were freaking out crying and my parents checked their room, and we all went there but found nothing. It was odd.
11. Then we turned off all tvs and pulled out some plugs.
12. We headed for bed in case and one last time checked. Then, my mom smelled the burnt smell again in the master bedroom including my sister. My dad went out again and checked the master room, the bathroom, everything, but it was nothing.
13. I’m in my room but smell nothing anymore.
Are we concerned over nothing? By the way, whenever our AC turns on, it makes the light bulbs flicker for a few seconds then it stops when it actually turns on. The washer/dryer makes the guest bathroom lights flicker once every milisecond and its vibrations from the washer/dryer system are noticable. We can hear and feel it and see the lights move to the beat of them...

Are we going to blow up? Thanks for your time and patience, and thanks in advance for your responses.

@SW-User No because it was inside the house. My mom went to check outside because our dog was barking (not when this happened, no, but she barks at passerbys and other animals that pass by). My mom would have said something but nothing was burning out there just the inside. Okay, nothing was actually burning inside our house but that there was a strange burning fire smell inside the master bedroom.

@SW-User I didn’t mean to sound like my AC is on fire. It smells of burnt fire (my assumption) but we checked the house for the source of the burnt fire smell that appeared in the master bedroom out of nowhere.

I thought it was the AC. Nothing that could’ve triggered the odd burnt smell anywhere.
Never ignore smoke and fire. Once I woke up at 3am due to strong burning smell that won’t let me sleep.

I went to balcony, got some fresh water and smell was so strong that I couldn’t get back to sleep and source was unknown

When I checked my laptop it won’t turn on, that’s when I realized that part of power cable was melting.

The very next morning I got the new charger and if I had ignored the smell or I went out, the outcome could have been not good

@mysteryespresso Wow, I’m glad you checked and good thing you found out the source. It would’ve been very bad. I’m not sure if it is the power cable because there aren’t plugs plugged in in this house.

Is the fuse box in that room? Check it now! Doesn't matter how new the house is.
MangoMegalodon · 22-25, F
@LadyBronte Thank you for your concern. The fuse box is actually outside of the room right next to it. But We checked, and it’s in good working condition, doesn’t smell like fire. The TV to their room was working normally fine and they’ve been using it for a few hours. The xbox got a little bit hot and then out of nowhere made a sound. It all happened at the same time, one thing after another.

There might be an eleticral fire within the walls and if you have gas utilities in your house you might blow up or the fire might come out of the walls 😬 Are you in an older house that maybe house outdated wiring?

@YoMomma Thanks for your concern

@MangoMegalodon ok hope you figure it out and everything is ok

@YoMomma Thank you. :)

We had something similar happen over several weeks until a huge surge happened that killed a bunch of appliances. It was some sort of grounding issue but I'm not good enough at electricity to offer specifics.

An electrician can help and possibly save your gadgets if it keeps happening.

Call 911. Tell the operator you are concerned.
MangoMegalodon · 22-25, F
@ScarletWitch It’s midnight and it started smelling out of nowhere. I don’t want them to waste their time. But thanks!

It could be "gas."

I can tell you that something like that happens at the beginning of the winter when I fire up my forced hot air heat system. Is it dust? No idea, but if you want a clean bill of health, get a pro to look at it.
MangoMegalodon · 22-25, F
@uncalled4 It’s Spring going into Summer where I live.

Sorry, I read that again and it sounds like you have an in-window or in-wall unit? That thing might be on its way out. Keep an eye on it. That would also possibly explain the power hit that affected the TV.
MangoMegalodon · 22-25, F
@uncalled4 Well, we have windows where the tvs are and a cable box far away from it (their tv is not close but on the opposite side from it) and the master bedroom’s window is on the side (tv cable is next to the bathroom) so it is closer, but we have circulation around the house with fans on.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@MangoMegalodon it's hard to diagnose, but I'd guess something like a fan motor or compressor or a power supply component is failing. Id unplug that unit if you go out.
MangoMegalodon · 22-25, F
@uncalled4 Well, we’re fine, but it happened out of the blue, and we’re fine now.
Thank you for your concern.
