I Care About Wild Animals

In my grandmother's back garden there are some amazing birds. This morning I saw a jay. And you often hear woodpeckers. And it's only 30k from London.

You are right. In Regents Park you often see squirrels. This morning I saw one looking at me on my way to school. I said, "I can see you!" And it scampered up a tree!

Really? I never seen a live badger. I see loads on the roadside. It's so sad.

yeah, the roadkill is very sad. The badger had a set in the green fields behind the local Tesco, in Sunbury. Prolly gone now, iirc they started clearing the area for more houses about the time we moved to the States

Do you have badgers in the States?
firefall · 61-69, M
There something called an American badger, in the western US, apparently,I've never seen or heard of any where I've lived (Arkansas, Louisiana, Florida)

That must have been pretty amazing. We used to see woodpeckers, foxes and a couple of times a badger, but we were a bit closer than that

It's surprising how much wildlife you find even in the city, but definitely on the outskirts.
