Why do women think that just because a guy tries to talk to her that he wants a relationship with him? Really?

Maybe she wanted to imply that her bf would smash her head on the concrete if he caught her talking to you. (JK)
Anyway, why some men think that if you're nice to them it means you flirt with them or that you're interested in something more than a friendship?
Perhaps for the same reason.
