I Don't Get It, I Don't Just Don't Understand

Sometimes I will drive past many homes that have large bare windows and can get a glimpse things the owner has or what the family is doing. Why would someone allow strangers to see what’s inside their home?

Can't afford window treatments which can be very expensive. Maybe they are also exhibitionist.
