I Had a Mean Teacher

When I was in second grade (2003-2004), I had this teacher, Mrs. Lane. One day we were going back to class through the kindergarten hallway, I looked inside an empty kindergarten classroom, and she got upset (Apparently looking inside an empty classroom is wrong in her eyes). So she asked me to go inside and apologize when I refused she eventually got two volunteers to take me to the principal’s office, so to avoid going to the principal’s office I went into the classroom in tears and apologized. And when I came out she like see now that wasn’t too hard, was it.

@lizzy96 she was talking in class and her teacher told her to be quiet she told the teacher she wasn't the only one talking she gave her 2 weeks detention and made her go outside

Could be worse in my school in 2nd grade teachers could still use the paddle. My 2nd grade teacher was notorious for paddling least 1 kid a day

@Mountainlady16 Using the paddle every day, seems like there is something wrong with the teacher.

If there are kids who are still misbehaving in her/his class, knowing that this teacher is slaphappy, it means the teacher is ineffective and so is the paddling.

If it's just a power trip for the teacher, then that teacher needs some serious discipline.

But it sounds to me, like this person gets some personal joy out of the act of paddling. This is a personality flaw. Maybe a psychological disorder. Maybe worse. Daily abusing children of 7 & 8 years old, is mentally disturbed.

@Serenitree I wasn't surprised 2 years later when they banned paddling by teachers putting it in the principal job alone the woman retired. I don't know how exactly old the woman was but she had been my moms 2nd grade teacher as well in the early 90s

It's disturbing that so many teachers are completely power-hungry dysfunctional human beings who have a complete disregard for fairness... No wonder society ends up totally messed up, with such role models...

@MarkPaul As I seven-year old I did but as I got older I learned that I was innocent. I have Indian Parent so I couldn't exactly go complain to them

@MarkPaul LOL when I had to repeat the sixth grade for maturity reasons I thought the teacher I had to repeat sixth grade it was mean, but she wasn't, in fact, I owe it to her for maturing me up so I could go on to middle school.
