I Have a Broken Heart

My heart was broken in high school by a teacher, it hurts so much because I still love him.We didn't say or do anything, relationship wise but it was something about the way he had often looked at me that made me think he cared but maybe I was wrong.I may never know what those looks meant and the anticlimactic way it all ended just hurts so much.

Since you said you didn’t actually have a relationship with him it’s hard for me to define it as love. And it would have been wrong of him to be involved with a student. Most likely you will find a man who loves you and who you will love. Real relationships aren’t fairy tales either. Even a man you love can hurt you at times and you have to learn to forgive each other.
Hang in there. It will get better. You are still very young.

I already know, I'm not naive and needing to be informed of that like it's really news to me.This, if anything, is a personal experience of it not being a fairytale.I didn't want involvement with him, I wanted the last time I saw him to be on amicable terms, the way things ended juxtaposed with the feelings that grew and the revelations from social media are what hurts but I'm otherwise glad to know he's smiling.

Hey, just remembered to get back to you.What I mean by I only want his attention is that I don't want him to abandon his wife and the young daughter they have but I do miss when his eyes were on me sometimes and he noticed me.So, I would rather just know he's paying attention to me and I would like if we could talk on friendly terms at least but I'm not looking to split a family up.I just desire to be apart of his life in some way, to be like any of the people he has casual interactions with, without suspicion of romantic interest and to still be someone in his life who he acknowledges.
