I Hated Mommys Hairbrush When I Was A Kid

@Callmyname Mom used whatever was handy, including hairbrush, belt, spoon, ruler, paddle... Dad just used his hand, usually on my bare bottom sometimes not if he was in a hurry or just to mad about it to bother. Didn't make any difference in the effectiveness from my point of view!

@Callmyname That seems to a UK thing. I'm in the states. Mom did try to hit me over the head with the heel of her shoe once! That didn't go over very well..

@Callmyname She wasn't all that nice a woman when sober. After a few drinks she got mean and things sometimes got physical. There came an age where I started to know the difference between getting it because I did something wrong and just being abused because I was the closest thing around.
