Everyone who serves deserves to be honored - weather they came back or no. I have two friends who are missing parts of their bodies from foreign conflicts. Its so sad... And thank you.

@Softandsweet2 I came back and I feel guilty about it sometimes especially when they come back with missing limbs like they do....

@masterofyou That is silly - I'm proud if you and glad you are whole. They would be too.

@Softandsweet2 It is not silly when you have seen what I have seen and some of the things that I have witnessed... 2 years in Vietnam..

I had relatives there. I know it was horrific, but of course I wasn't there. I know the navy used carrier based planes there and had patrols on the rivers, but my relatives were in the army. My fathers brother was a crew chief on a Huey helecopter. He took a lot of slides there and sent them home in prepaid mailers.

@Softandsweet2 I would do it all over again for my Country and a little more ... When 911 hit New York... I wanted so much to go back to Active Duty from being active reserve and already retired from the Service in the Navy Reserves.... Big Hug to you ....Thank you..

Yes - I think I understand that. Most of my family has been in the service and we all love out country.
