I Feel Broken Inside

Pulling Through

The world around me stands in darkness,
The murky water that I stand in,
It threatens to take hold and pull me under.
My past embarrassing transgressions become fore-front in my mind,
It never lets me forget the things I've done and the things I've said.

The harder I try,
The stronger my might for this world of mine to turn out right.
I try to find the light all around me,
I try to be understanding to the people who surround me,
Then I try to hold on to the hope that I won't always be lonely.
