I Got Caned At School

My main memory is of being humiliated as much as of the pain. Fortunately it was only a couple of times, but back then we just took it and got on with it. I pretended it didn't matter, but it was something you didn't go back for so I suppose to that extent it worked, but can't imagine any civilised education system allowing it today as casually as was allowed in 60s UK. Still shudder thinking about it.

@carl52 once a boy had been caned, not just given a few taps on his barw bottom, he would not be in any hurry to be bending over and having it again. The cane use to really hurt and not only did it punish the offender but did deter the rest....seeing a cane marked bottom in the showers certainly sent out a cear message to others but not so clear as others actally seeing the cane go across the bare bottom...a fearful sight that certainly did deter....nobody wanted that on their bottom

@TheProphet I was caned at school many times too. It never stopped me misbehaving, I just tried a little harder to not get caught. The slipper in class was seen as something of a joke. There was even a sort of competition to be the first to get it each week.
