yes...do the slightest thing wrong and you were told to bend over and the lether slipper or cane applied across yur bottom. In my private school, be it slipper or cane, it was trousers/shorts amd pants down and righ on your bare bottom. No case of indecent assult....it was standard that in those days it was in order, at private schools at least. to make you bare your bottom when being slippered or caned. TAheir was no ho;ding back either the teachers really use to hit your bare bottom hard. Their was no hesitation allowed. If called and told to drop trousers and pants and bend over to be slippered or caned you did so at once for fear of extra. You just stuck your bottom out and waited for the painful sting. I doubt if boys today would have the courage to even bend over in trousers and pants to have a whacking, yet aLONE TAKE IT ON THE BARE BOTTOM.
