I Overthink and Overanalyze Things

I hate it when I overthink. Ever since my experiences from high school I always overthink when with people now. It makes it so hard. Some nights I just have to cry worrying if it will happen again or if something similar happens. Making me distant at times.

I did that too a lot. And even now, so many years later, I still may overthink. For me it turned to be caused by fear. Fear of having messed up, fear of doing or saying something wrong etc. Being uncertaint is closely related to fear.

A few things helped me to get rid of it: realizing where the fear came from, raising my self-esteem, living life just as I want it, and doing exactly what I was afraid of.

You’re in a bad frame of mind. You need to change your thinking habits. Do not allow your mind to delve into those thoughts. Find a saying or something that you force yourself to focus on until the thoughts are gone.
