I Would Like to Live Off the Grid

I had a discussion with my friend the other day and truly believe if I Can be completely off-grid or just far away from town I will be happy as long as I can grow my food and build up my house with whoever wants to be self-sustainable with me

Are you planning on having a generator of sorts (solar, wind, etc.) for electricity?

@lasergraph my friend suggested solar but i was leaning more towards wind and generators for back ups but solar might be a better choice.

It depends on which is the most sustainable in your area. I live in Amarillo Texas and we have wind farms in both east and west of town. Texas is the leader in wind energy. It works even at night, which isn't the case for solar.

@Ebonyhunni I have solar in Arizona. Last year my system produced 6196 kWh

@xixgun Arizona is the right place for it. We have solar here too but the wind is a constant.
