Our world is quick to demonize & dehumanize 'others,' individuals who are different than themselves.
Not just weirdos. I believe conservatives tend to hate liberals, & liberals tend to hate conservatives.
Even if neither party admits it directly, they're malicious enemies. They think the worst of each other & desire the worst for each other.
Both side screaming at the other, evil idiots.
It's easy to hate other people, to attribute them as the causes of our lives' tragedies, our evil opponents, but that's lazy & false.
It's not simply Apple who consumes us, but we consume it. Every new product we buy, use up, & throw away.
Yet we get indignant at such companies for their roles in climate change & environmental disruption, digging up
the world & filling it with smoke.
But they do these things because we want them to, because we pay them to.
We're disgusted by landfills that we filled, but we get mad at our cities for the smell.
If we want something good, something better, why shouldn't we recognize the humanity of others, & the responsibility we have in the current state & trajectory of the world?
Let's take responsibility of our roles & move forward, but now with full sight & awareness of who we are, where we are, & where we're going, as well as how we're steering the world towards destruction.
Let's strive after doing things more responsibly, let's contribute to solutions with ideas & money rather than rekindling the fires of hatred & ongoing desolation.
Let's just build the world up instead of destroying it, but be loving with one another along the way.
Let's forget new bonds & live new lives together, no longer deferring responsibility, delegating blame, but banding together to form a brilliant, beautiful new world.
