What's the age difference to your siblings?

Yesterday my brother turned 18 and tomorrow my sister is turning 50 😳

May I ask how many kids altogether?

For us, five years; my sister is 48 and I'm 53

@LucyFuhr Just the three of us. well sort of...after all it's my half sister (mothers side) and my half brother (fathers side) and they have never met.

What was it like being the older sister? Stuck with a lot of babysitting?

@EuphoricTurtle Thank you for your reply!

I didn't really get a chance to be an older sister til my 40s. We had the same parents but a totally different upbringing. I went away to school and didn't come back til she was way past babysitting age LOL

@LucyFuhr guessed in a way you dodged that bullet. I always felt like my sister kind of resented being stuck with me.

@EuphoricTurtle Honestly? I feel a lil ripped off LOL

Maybe she resented you then but it's something you come to appreciate as you get older.

@LucyFuhr I get what you mean. I was raised by my mother since my dad was pretty much out of the picture by around 7. I only lived with my dad for a short period of time when my brother was born and the reason for it was pretty much because I knew if I didn't connect with my brother at that point then it would be incredibly hard later on.

@EuphoricTurtle I'm genuinely happy you got that chance.
