Mat is nice. Toes are much cuter 😋😉

duckduckbooze · 51-55, F
I love the idea.
The feeling of moss would be neat.
I don't think the moss would survive the local hard water though.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@duckduckbooze Moss can be surprisingly resilient, I've found!
duckduckbooze · 51-55, F
@FaeLuna Well, hell. Then it's in my "want" list now. 😁
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
It looks cool but I want something in the bathroom that I can launder and add bleach to. I like to use those terry cloth bath mats for that reason. The lion’s claw tub is the coolest thing in that bathroom, I would love to have one, easier to take a bath and lean back in them.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@FaeLuna yes that’s right because my neck hurts if the back doesn’t slope. But the reason for the deep tub is to stay warm for a long soak with Epsom salts. They should come out with covers for them to retain the heat with a place for your head to stick out.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti Ooh, now that's an idea!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@FaeLuna Maybe someone should start a company to make tub-soaking covers like that.
Viper · M
Seems interesting, I wouldn't be against it.

But I don't know the feeling on moss on the bottom on my feet.

Would it attracted little critters, that could live in, or eat it, or eat things that might try to eat it?

And how would it smell? Could the moss move to other areas?

It'd give more oxygen to the bathroom.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@Viper Moss feels like a soft carpet depending on the type. It's very nice. Not sure about bugs but I suppose that's always a possibility. Moss shouldn't have a smell, though unless your nose is right down in it.
good in theory but this wouldn't be of use for me unless i lived somewhere where i was always barefoot. maybe good for a backyard shower by the pool.
@FaeLuna yess :D they are so nice if you ever get one. even just a makeshift one with a hot water hose and tarp. hahah. so refreshing & free.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@FaeLuna good hiding spots in that for bugs, small snakes, frogs, etc. Nope nope nope
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti I suppose if you have one made of the poofier mosses, they could hide. The shorter ones wouldn't hide much.

I mean at that point, it's the same chance of finding things as just walking through the grass. I could live with that chance.
GentleLucille · 26-30, F
That looks amazing, especially if you can make it at home. Moss will absorb way more water than cotton and it must feel lovely underfoot 😊
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@GentleLucille One of my friends is cultivating trails entirely of moss through their backyard, solely for barefoot walks. It's that good.
GentleLucille · 26-30, F
@FaeLuna That is so good, both for the environment and human health (miss contains natural antiseptic). There are trees near where I live covered in the stuff - it's like something out of Middle Earth 🧙‍♂️🧚‍♀️
SW-User
No way. I like mats I can wash
SW-User
@MethDozer Aha! That makes sense!
MethDozer · M
@SW-User Great! Now let me show you this bridge.
SW-User
@MethDozer 😂
Lilymoon · F
Interesting but not sure it would work in the long run.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@Lilymoon I'd be concerned about it not getting enough water and drying out over time. That's something to look into for research!
Lilymoon · F
@FaeLuna Yup... or even too much water depending how many showers you take haha 😁
Nanoose · 61-69, M
I would - wondering if the moss mat takes in carbon and releases oxygen like other plants. Cheers!
adorbz · 26-30, F
ooh interesting 👀 I’d probably find it weird at first but actually why not 😌
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@adorbz I'm sure it would take some getting used to, but I think it would be fun to have!
Rickg · 31-35, M
Just get me one too
I bet it would reduce mould by absorbing more of the moisture
SweetMae · 70-79, F
It doesn't grow fungus?
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SweetMae I don't believe so, unless it's poorly made or something. In theory, the moss should be absorbing all the moisture that the fungus would need to grow, so it never has a chance.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@FaeLuna It looks like a great mat
Fantabulous · 46-50, F
Definitely not for me.
SkeetSkeet · 100+, F
I was going to make one until people where saying you'll have small bugs crawl across your feet
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@SkeetSkeet I guess you need to be careful and inspect for bugs before you start using it.
MethDozer · M
@SkeetSkeet @FaeLuna Borax it.
Viper · M
@SkeetSkeet that's what I was concerned about lol

Bugs like bathrooms because of the water already.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
whats next a Carpeted Bathtub ?
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@FurryFace I mean, if it's a carpet that doesn't retain moisture after the tub drains, maybe there's something there. But I feel like that would have too many other problems to be worth it.
Rhonda · F
No, I want something I can put in the washing machine
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@Rhonda That's fair! It's definitely not for everyone.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@FaeLuna So what do you think of MethDozer & Would You Do Him
MethDozer · M
@JohnOinger God damn it
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@MethDozer 😂

@SW-User I think the idea is to cultivate the moss and make sure it isn't destroyed. Was there something specific about the moss you have a problem with, or is this just a jab at consumerism in general?
MethDozer · M
That's dope. My pet tardygrades will be soooo hahpy
