I Will Teach My Children Things My Parents Never Taught Me

I want my future children to learn practical things age 6 onwards. I want them to build confidence and strength by the time they're 12. I want to encourage them in their study n choices. I wanna teach them about life.
By the time they're 18-22 I want them to look back and think "My parents will b there for support. I can turn to them..." Something denied by my mum from my sis.

We may turn t dad but mum's a big no no. I blame my sis' outcome solely on my mother (dad too, looking how much time he spent with us as fam). But no way am I giving my kids' a life as we had. When future child will b a toddler am gonna make sure we don't fall in a toxic relationship of child/ parent.

I raised my kids far different from my upbringing .My parents were total prudes and sex and nudity were taboo . My kids were raised nude and nothing was taboo and they experienced and saw a lot when they were young .They are now all very broadminded and easy going young adults well prepared for the world we live in and and all had jobs when they left school .

You have admirable goals. I used to sit down and make lists of things I wanted to accomplish. A friend of mine says it best..."Man proposes, and God disposes".

I had lots of plans for my son, but he wasn't interested in any of them. He was a rebel from age 4. If I wanted it, he wanted the opposite. Just be aware that each individual has is so unique that you can't always plan for them.
