I've always been captivated by the Moon and the stars. In the seventh grade, my science teacher noticed my interest in astronomy. Thanks to her, I learned a great deal about the universe and our place in it. I began studying it during my free time. Reading about space led to my interest in physics. I took an astronomy course in college, and I enjoyed it. I have an app on my phone called Flipboard, and I receive articles only related to my interests. It's great because it allows me to read a great deal about space. I'm interested in space because so many things we observe behave so unusually, so unexpected. I have no doubt that intelligent life exists somewhere else in the universe, and I believe that we will one day make that discovery.

I am going to suggest another app for youn
Sky Portal, a freebie from Celestron. It will activate and guide your Celestron telescope but if you don't have a scope it still is great. It has a huge list of astronomical objects and will show them to you and for most of the objects it tells you a lot about them including rise, transit, and set times for your current location and altitude and azimuth of the object for your current location and time.
