I've always been captivated by the Moon and the stars. In the seventh grade, my science teacher noticed my interest in astronomy. Thanks to her, I learned a great deal about the universe and our place in it. I began studying it during my free time. Reading about space led to my interest in physics. I took an astronomy course in college, and I enjoyed it. I have an app on my phone called Flipboard, and I receive articles only related to my interests. It's great because it allows me to read a great deal about space. I'm interested in space because so many things we observe behave so unusually, so unexpected. I have no doubt that intelligent life exists somewhere else in the universe, and I believe that we will one day make that discovery.
I am going to suggest another app for youn Sky Portal, a freebie from Celestron. It will activate and guide your Celestron telescope but if you don't have a scope it still is great. It has a huge list of astronomical objects and will show them to you and for most of the objects it tells you a lot about them including rise, transit, and set times for your current location and altitude and azimuth of the object for your current location and time.
I think our technology is not advanced enough to confirm whether there are real aliens out there or not but I'm sure there are. There has been numerous and repetitive FRBs found in space recently and I have speculations it might be a way that aliens are trying to contact us.
I'm 100% certain that intelligent life exists somewhere else out there. It just seems impossible for us to be the only living and breathing beings in the universe. Conditions like ours can't be a 1 time even
