I Am Offended By People Who Are Easily Offended

We live tied to a human condition saturated with emotions. No matter what emotional reaction you have to something, one thing we all have to learn, is to control our emotions and not let them dictate who we are.

Fear isn't a bad thing. Being afraid of a situation creates caution and keeps us alive. The problem with fear is when we live out live steeped in it, and can't let it go.

The same goes for anger and many other emotions.

I think we can all agree; the ideal emotional state we would hold onto is happiness and joy.

Of course, this world dicates that we must have these emotional reactions to things.

This life is plagued with sadness and loss. It's unavoidable.

So how should we go about continue to live a life of happiness in the face of these terribe situations and events we traverse and have overcome? Laughter.

Laughter takes away the power of death for those moments. Laughter detatches is from the cruelty that surrounds us. Laughter takes the worst things in the world... the worst things that have ever happened in history ... the worst things you can imagine... it takr those things and turns the monumental crushing despair that comes with them into something so small.

If you're a beleiver in God or some other form of a spiritual creator, I implore you to look at creation and see the humor that was left. The platapus? Holy crap what a delightful joke we found. Our world is woven with these small jokes. Our creator had a sense of humor about his own work.... about the work that created you.

If you don't believe in any of that stuff, what a cosmic joke it is to think anything that happens on this tiny blue sphere really matter to the delights the universe has to offer. Anything you see as too big to laugh about, is less than gains of sugar to what is happening around us. I implore you; learn to turn these issues with negative cognotations into jokes.

I'm not trying to overplay the seriousness of fixing what problems we can fix.

But what i am saying, is we can't live eternally vigilant to the serioisness of these issues. Let it go from time to time. Take a joke. And laugh.

I wish everyone happiness and laughter.

And with that, I wash my hands of this tomato.
