How vengeful are you on a scale of 1-10. Give me an example.

I think up elaborate revenge schemes but never act on them lol

Zero...or minus 1. Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, and He is really, really good at it.
@4meAndyou I thought he was a forgiving God.

@WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome That depends on whether you go Old Testament or New Testament.

Think about God carefully. He doesn't want to blast your enemies with miraculous powers. He can and He does forgive...but only forgives those who come to Him with repentant hearts.

His justice is elegant. Not destructive, always, but elegant.

@4meAndyou Kind of confusing how he went from full on wrath in the OT to forgivenss in the NT. I know it says he sent Jesus to die for our sins etc but it still seems like an almighty personality change.

@WeeWeeWeeAllTheWayHome Not really. It was a long slow process of change in the thinking and feelings of Jews of that time.

This is an interesting article. It incorporates things my brother told me...(taught to him by the Jesuits at Boston College for undergrad)...about hell actually being the local garbage dump. But it also points out that some of the things Jesus really said were mistranslated...and using the concept of eternal torture as an example.
