I Love Berlin

I was there for two days a few years ago and I'm looking forward to being there again at the end of the month and seeing more of it. It's a vibrant city that is rich in history, art, culture, music...
Any suggestions of things to see or do that I could add to my already long list?
I have not been there since 1990 so I cannot help with suggestions. Having been thwre there that gllrious night in 1989 when the first gates were opened was one of the most powerful experiemces of my life. I had stared heartbroken at that wall as a child. I never tbought it would happen. Then fortune had me back in Germany durimg that time and I was blessed to be a part of it. I treasure my ugly hunk of that wall to this day.

You're lucky to have been there for such an historic moment. The Germans have left a few traces of the wall and as you walk freely past them, you can't help but think how much anguish must have been felt there just a few years ago.

There are similarities, but the two have very different vibes.

Love Berlin too!

There's this lovely French restaurant (Dressler) just a minute or two from the Brandenburg gates, on the same side as the US embassy

Like going back to the 1930's
Just a lovely experience

Happy travels

I've been to Munich but not Berlin yet. Would love to hear about your trip.

it happens with singers and even more frequently with opera singers as it's so much more demanding and the big ones tend to be extra careful with their voice. She tends to cancel a lot.

That's unprofessional. Don't commit to so many performances then.

She doesn't, but she has a 90 year old husband she dotes over and she cancels out of town performances if he's having health issues

I did a fantastic walking tour in Berlin. It was only about 15 euros but took us all over the city.

I did the bus one when I was there as I was short on time. I'll definitely be doing a lot of walking this time around.
I was there years ago and I truly enjoyed it. So many cultural activities and fun things to do.

I'm looking forward to a more in depth visit than was possible in two days.
