Okay any people here that cook? I'm gonna make garlic sauce pasta but

My mum thinks that using 40 cloves is too much for one 400g (uncooked) of pasta. Is that true? I mean the recipe uses 20 for 1 cup pasta that's 100grams.

Far too much Garlic.
Average is 2 cloves per serve of pasta.
400 grams Raw pasta equals about 5 serves.
10 Cloves Garlic, for more Garlicky flavour? add 15 Cloves.
But if you really enjoy Garlic, as do your friends, then go with 20 to 30 Cloves.
@Gusman even 20-30 is too much. The max should be 10. But generally people add only 5-6

@littlepuppywantanewlife I agree. But her recipe calls for 20 cloves.
Plus there are many Pasta recipes that call for 30 cloves

@Gusman Yeah I reduced the number of cloves and it ended up being too little. It's amazing how food works - I don't understand it!!
