I Admire People Who Are Not Afraid To Be Themselves

I honestly never understood what this means. I don't know how to be anything else. I realize it's an issue that people have. I'm not saying that it doesn't exist or something or that I'm better than them because I'm not like that. Because I've never made any kind of conscious effort to not be afraid to be myself. I'm just saying I honestly don't understand what it means to be afraid to be yourself or what it would be like to be that way.

Yeah and also this group is a lie. No one admires everyone who is their true self.

@MalteseFalconPunch yep, if your true self is likable that’s a good thing.

Sometimes it's a matter of fitting in. Becoming a person so people will like them or want to be friends or even to get the attention of a crush. Being what a person thinks everyone wants. Some kid feel like they have to be the person their parents want because of pressure a parents puts on them. I personally didn't get much parental pressure. I've always been different but wouldn't let myself be someone but myself cause I think the whole thing stupid and fake. No one is worth changing for unless you want to change for better for yourself

How you describe it it just sounds like the person is afraid to show who he or she is in front of other people.
Maybe bad experience and bullying?

@MalteseFalconPunch how do you mean you you deal with being made fun of differently?
