What’s the point?

So my mum and older brother teach horse back riding on our farm and we get a lot of young teenagers coming. This happened last year in September and for context my family current have 10 horses and 2 of them people outside the family can’t ride. 1 is my horse dusti and the other is our stallion max.

So last year about a week after school started for the year mum was doing lessons and a girl walked into the stable and saw me getting dusti ready to ride but I wasn’t wearing any riding gear I was in my farm clothes that make me look like I just ran through a a swamp. As soon as she saw me started demanding that I stop touching her horse. It really confused me so I just stared confused at her. She started saying that I shouldn’t be here as it’s only for people who take riding seriously and can afford to ride them. Every time I spoke she cut me off to continue having ago at me. She then said that she knew the family for years and that my mum was like a aunty to her.
After that she actually let me speak and I just said you do realise I’m her daughter don’t You? She didn’t believe me so I told her to go ask mum her self.

She left the stable and I saw her after I got out with dusti. She avoided looking at me so I rode up to my mum saying loudly “hi mummy can I join today” which normally I don’t ask I just join anyway.

I really don’t get why people lie like that. It’s so pointless

Well done you!

People who act like that are generally bullies and bullies are social inadequates who try to hide their own shortcomings with bluster ... I wish more people were like you and simply told them to .... x

It's called stupid pride 😊
@antonioio he has been a gift for me in so many ways - he made me a better mother, better person - he helped me realign what really matters.

He loved bus rides when he was little - and he'd make this funny noise - but it was his happy noise. Women would scowl at me, talk about me And my with condemnation... At first it hurt - then I realised - it didn't matter what they thought, I felt sorry that they were grown women, possibly been mothers too - and they couldn't see that he was happy!... So sad.

His behaviour was rarely normal when went out - and I got used to people judging him and me.... It helped me SO MUCH - I've learnt to be me, live by my ethics, and be more aware of others who are different. I actually gravitate to them.... They are always incredibly interesting and usually have a quirky sense of humour.

I thought civilisation was supposed to make our species better - i wonder sometimes if it has.🤷‍♀️

Um... I've just realised - thr response made before - was meant to go on another post... Evidently one should. Not drink and text 😁

It was meant to go on the one I made a stupid face on🤪

Lawd I'm a ditz sometimes - but thankyou for responding 🙏😊
@Complexconfessions pride cam be interpreted differently - and I do know you have pride in your work and what you create.
But most pride comes from what you know others think of you.

Integrity on the other hand - it comes from within - only you can control it, live by it.
People, life, events - they can all attack your pride, affect it, damage it, destroy it, or build it up.
But it's fragile.
Integrity on the other hand, they can't take. You can be stripped of everything - but still keep your integrity.

Thing is.... It seems these days - people are willing to give up, or bend their integrity for pride.
That's a fragile way to live.

I wouldn't want to live that way.

Amd as to your past - hahaha... Dude - we ALL fuck up. Some never learn - some Do.
Change is hard... But it's needed.
Personally - I'm bloody proud of you! Ot takes hard mental work to rebuild a life... Amd incredible persistence.

I think there's nothing wrong with having little pride, it stops one falling prey to pretentiousness.

Life has to be meaningful to YOU.... Deeply meaningful.

Being wrapped up in how others view you is a prison within itself.🤷‍♀️
