What were things like in the 1980's?

I was born in November of 1988, so I was only alive for 13 months of them.

Fun! Way more relaxed than today. Crazy hair and clothes, good music and the last generation to do all the “bad, politically incorrect” things.

@Keepitsimple Work was more laid back too, we got our jobs done but didn’t get micromanaged all the time.

Well in the late eighties, everyone wore hammer pants and smoked crack.

Pretty chill. None of the dumb shit we have to put up with today. A good decade to grow up in.

You totally missed out. Everything was better before 1988.

Big hair
Shoulder pads on every jacket. Male and female !
Music was interesting. Lots of genres.
Movies were brash.
Politics and economics were all ‘Buy ! Buy ! Buy !’ Although ultimately it all ended in tears.
I think generally there were more jobs about than today.

@Picklebobble2 There were definitely more jobs and there were more categories of jobs as well. Where I lived, you could pick up the Sunday paper any week and find tons of openings in just about any field.

These days, around here, there is not much...and so it goes, month after month.
Idk but I'd imagine more awesome
