How do you feel after standing up for yourself?

indyjoe · 56-60, M
It depends on the person I'm standing against. If the person is arrogant and narcissistic then I feel proud and empowered, but if the person is well meaning and they are hurt by my speaking up or resistance then I am not as happy or proud of it...I hate having to do it but know it had to be done.
This rings true for me as well.@indyjoe

Usually disappointed that I used reason, rather than a decisive right cross. Being responsible is anti-climactic sometimes.
🤣Amen.@Luchs
When it happens, I am always disappointed that I had to go there in the first place...

Usually like an a-hole even though I know it's okay to do so

glad it's done.
I hate confrontation and I have mixed emotions. I feel it was necessary to take a stand but I also feel saddened by having been in a conflict, as I know I don’t relax well when I’m upset.

I am finally healing and growing. Spent most of my life as a broken insecure little girl.

Good if I felt like my point came across.
Stupid or assholeish if I didn't get it across.
