Hmmm... okay. Thanks for your response. I checked out the links you sent me.

Just seeing the phrase 'Lying Woman of the Month' gave me a negative visceral reaction, and I'm an MRA. I could just imagine what the average woman (feminist or not), mangina or white knight would feel.

Maybe I'm oversensitive but the phrase appears to implicitly stereotype women as liars, similar to how the "Don't be that Guy" campaign does with men.

I would have to ask, what is the primary purpose of these awards? Are they intended to inform, persuade, or broaden interest among readership? I wouldn't want it to manifest as just an echo chamber.

Hopefully I'm not coming across as too pompous. I'm just trying to understand your position a little better.

If you're an MRA - which I very much doubt - why would you give a flying f*** what feminists, manginas, or white knights would 'feel'? You wouldn't, by definition. You've already wasted enough of my time. I don't know what you're doing on an AVfM comment stream. You're a dose of Polonum 210 I could do without. Feel free to pollute this comment stream, just don't expect any more responses from me. Goodbye."

See how enlightened these AVFM stalwarts are? A reasonably put argument about changing the word "woman" to "feminist" is met by a hail of abuse.
