I Feel Overwhelmed Sometimes

Dear Universe,... I know that great things often come out of bad situations. I know that we rarely are given more than we can handle in life, and that those expreiences are meant help us grow stronger...but does the load have to be just shy of the breaking point???
I lost my apartment. No problem, I found a great house and a great housemate/landlady to share it with.
I lost my job. No problem, there's always another one waiting to be found.
The housemate turned out to be an alcoholic manic depressive meth head with severe paranoid delusions. No problem, my sis offered up the spare bed for as long as it takes to get a job and a new place to live.
The move to my sister's place ended up using almost every dime I have. No problem, I still have gas in the car and food to eat until my first unemployment check gets here plus the former housemate said she'll wire half of my deposit back now and the rest next month.
The car breaks down. No problem, prolly just the plug wires again and Dad offered to pay for it so long as it's not too expensive.

The unemployment check still hasn't gotten here, western union has no record for the money being wired (not that I thought for a second that she would actually send it), the car's ECU is now the suspected culprit ($1500 for another one on average), the food is quickly running out, my checking account is getting more overdrawn by the day, my sis and my lil nephew live in a 28" trailer which has quickly gotten cramped as I have no car to go out for a while and give us both some space, I'm out of smokes and my anti-depressants have run out.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

UNCLE!!!

I YEILD!!!

I really need something to go right for me...or at least a new outlook on what's happening. There are a few things that could still make that happen at least... The garage hasn't yet determined the problem for sure, so it could still be a cheap fix. Dad might decide to pay for it all no matter how much it is and let me pay him back later. Today's mail might have a check in it for me. The housemate might still actually come through for me with the money. I'm sure there's more that could go right as well, but I'm not in the right fr<x>ame of mind to see it.

SO, please please please, Universe...throw me a bone here?

Love,
Ford

I like that your outlook seemingly stays fairly positive. Often times, we are what we think, as crazy as that sounds. Bad luck enters into everyone's life from time to time. I would ask yourself what your life goals are and where that all fits in for you. From there, perhaps having small goals and accomplishing them may help. In any case...in noticing the date this was written...has it gotten better for you?

Thanks for your comment, Glow :-) As crazy as it sounds, my goals are simple. I just want a job environment I can be happy in and make enough money to support my simple lifestyle. I'm not interested in promotions and I'd rather not move up the corporate ladder. I try to have as little negative stress as possible, and being the low-to-middle man on the totem pole works for me. As for how things are at the moment, things are relativly good. I have my own little place that, while it may not be as large as I might like, is big enough to be comfortable in. My car is running great again and I'm looking forward to finding some more fun roads to go drive up in the mountains around here. All I really need is a job, and things are looking up there as well...in fact I have an interview in about an hour that sounds promising, and another job lead to follow up on right after that. :-)

Good for you. I have to say, you have a positive way of looking at things. I honestly believe, as corny as this sounds, that if you send positive energy out there...it can be received. So, I'm sending positive energy your way :D
