I put peanut butter on one piece of bread, then jelly on the second, slap them together. You can't make them fast enough when children are hungry. I don't care for them myself.

I mix the two in a cup and then spread the mixture on the bread. I have convinced my grandkids that honey is even better than jelly or jam, so I fix peanut butter and honey for them (and for me, too).

I like almond butter but it’s not easy to spread so I would mix jelly or jam or honey with it first to make it easier to put on the bread instead of tearing up the bread.

Peanut butter on one piece of bread and jam on the other. Unless it’s toast, peanut butter then jam because jam is less dense and easier to manipulate.
