A very good presentation of why polyamory suits some people (And others not).

This is a very interesting talk. He brings up a lot of valid points.

@LightPinkLace Indeed. There is a very rational set of reasons why some people do chose polyamoury. Sadly many think it is all about having your cake and eating it.

There is a show all about it on HBO or Showtime, that delves into it. @MrSquishy

@LightPinkLace What is the title of the show?

I can't remember. I believe just Polyamory. @MrSquishy

I think I found it...I saw the tease for it. I am slightly concerned that the example they chose is a menage a 3, three people having a ''live in 3some'' which is not really the most representative form of polyamory. Most polyamorous people live separate relationships. But I will try watching a few episodes.

Yeah, it seemed a little strange to me. @MrSquishy

@LightPinkLace I looked a little more at it. It seems they tried to approach the serious issues of poly but avoiding the discomfort it brings in most non poly people.
Packaging it as Two pretty ladies and one handsome guy showering together makes it more appealing to monogamous people. It is more like a longstanding 3 some...
But from what I could see it does touch on some serious aspects of those kind or relationships: Ground rules, who is with whom and when, how are decisions taken, communication, honesty etc...but I don't think I could sit through the whole show without cringing at the over simplified/sexualised image they give of poly relationships.

I don't know much about the poly lifestyle, but I didn't take it too seriously. I assumed the portrayal was mainly for ratings. @MrSquishy

@LightPinkLace yes... I think you at right there.
