I Need Closure

No you dont need closure. People live in an illusion that closure will help them move on. It does not. It is nonsense. Closure does not change the outcome of the situation. It is the "situation" breakup, death whatever that causes the pain and having closure is not going to change that .

It helps some people, that is unarguable but... I personally don't need it. I'm fine with moving on. You don't always get butt to the knee... or something like that.

I can see in certain cases - for example a suicide - if there is a letter that explains it then it may be easier to accept rhe death , but still even so - it does not heal you . The pain continues even when you get closure. It wont take the pain away .but this whole idea of "closure" just prevent people from moving on. @Elegy

Some people need that, they need it because those are just the parameters their reality goes by. No one else gets to dictate that. :/
