In Japan, your CV or resume must be hand-written even in this smart technology era! What do you say about it?

Japanese companies before they hire employees, they evaluate a person's character basis his/her handwriting. Now, this approach raises lots of concerns as there are bad character people with beautiful handwriting and there are good character people with shabby handwriting.

They have other parameters too basis which they hire someone but this one they certainly don't ignore. Japanese university graduates see this as a tedious task because it is a tedious task. Also, in Japan both graduate and intern apply to 20 companies at a time. Everywhere you have to submit a hand-written CV/resume with no mistakes, scribbles and over-writing. Nothing is done online, you walk-in and submit the paper. One mistake and it is rejected right away.

Imagine if this was the trend followed across the globe! 馃馃槼馃槸馃槬馃

@SoLeRiMix yes i have... and changed over to another firm in addition. in thesecond case too the entire process was time consuming,,,but really made to write my full resume sitting at a side table.
Actually ,i did another change ,,,,, got a small low height stool and sat crosslegged on the wooden floor to write.I wrote it and submitted which impressed them.
Makes sense! 馃憤 I think good handwriting shows good brain wiring.
