When I was about six or seven, I used to have this horrible reoccurring nightmare where ghosts and goblins were chasing me through bookshelves that I could walk through and they were constantly catching up with me, and then I would wake up completely terrified. I had the same nightmare dozens of times and then finally they just completely stopped

My mum and dad letting a murderer in our house at a family gathering.
I'm always screaming at them not to let him in but they tell me to stop being silly and welcome him in.
Then I go and hide under a table behind the door in my parents room as I can hear him creeping up the stairs.
I always wake up just as he enters the room and slowly starts turning to look at me

After marathoning Buffy as a kid, I had this nightmare where there were a perfect set of clones of my family except the clones were vampires. You couldn't tell if it was a clone or not until it started trying to kill you.
At one point my dad and I were trapped in the groundfloor bathroom with my little sister's vampire clone trying to break down the door. I kept trying to get my dad to realize what was happening but he just sat there reading a car magazine like whatever. So I grabbed my pet cat and booked it out the window leaving him to fend for himself. And then I woke up.

One had something to do with dolls.. and it wasn't really a nightmare? It was just really gory and I had to kill anything that came in the room- we were essentially gladiators and neither of us had a choice but to fight. So I'd wake up feeling really stressed and exhausted and sad.
Then I know I've had another "reoccuring" nightmare if you could call it that. One dream would end then I'd sleep days, weeks, or months later and it's like it took place where it left off. I only ever remember them when I've had a new one though, and I haven't had that dream in years.
