How do you feel about funerals?

This is going to be my fourth one in under two years. Third one I'm going to be one of the pallbearers carrying the casket. This never gets any more enjoyable.
if it is for someone who died young and unexpectedly, it can be tragic. If it is for celebrating a life that touched so many others positively, it can be joyous.
@ManicMicah i wouldn't describe any funeral i attended as "enjoyable", but I do not regret attending any one of them and honoring the person who passed. In a few cases, i was moved to tears by the memories of those who spoke--I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. Hearing my niece eulogize my mother? It touched me deeply. Listening to my buddy's father talk about his son's life? I was honored to hear that. Watching my father-in-laws casket being lifted by six of his grandsons? I shall cherish that moment forever.

@BiasForAction See, I live in a religious family, and one thing that irks me, is that I hear the deceased's name only a few times, and then all you hear about is God and Jesus. I'm not bashing religion but...I wish we coulda spent more time actually talking about and telling stories about the ones who passed. My friend's funeral was tragic, he was an openly atheist and a pot head but of course they lied so much about him and made him into somebody totally fake.
@ManicMicah Amen to that!
