What do you recommend for a senior woman with extreme empty nest syndrome?

They're cute dogs and very affectionate and easy to care for...

A senior man.

She won't be able to substitute the child with anything. You fee like you do not have yourself when you dedicate your existence for other people and they are no more.
I'd advice them to find purpose and let go.

If an animal may help, look into an older African Grey. They live until their 80’s, are highly intelligent, and are essentially like dogs but with flying abilities.

Reawakening the romantic and sexual love with her partner or find the lasting love of a man if the dad of de now grown up "babies" is not there.

If she is able bodied perhaps volunteering with young children somewhere. Say hospitals.

Join a bowls club?

Get a dog, or cat...

Plants and travel.

A hobby.
