Does every blessing come with a curse?

This curse can be in the form of anything, whether it is worry/fear/anxiety or physical/emotional/psychological harm...

What are your thoughts and can you give examples?
I inherited a house for free. Maintenance is a killer.

@Mondayschild I was a homeowner for twenty years (now divorced, living in an apartment). I do not miss "outside" work, calling (and paying) the plumber, painting, etc. Yes, taxes can be very high. My ex is finding these things out in her big fancy house.

@Mondayschild I like your example.
@iMystery it is something for women looking to take a house from a husband in divorce. They will have to eat poptarts and pork and beans.

All pleasure must be paid for with pain. I learned that much. There seems to be a general balance; but, some things cost less than others. But there's always a price.

You eat McDonalds a bit too often, you get diabetes or heart disease.

You exercise, do what's right for your body, you get a runner's high and health; but, you also have to endure the pain of exercise to get it.

You fall in love, well, the entire process is pretty much a curse. That's a pretty straight forward one.

You have sex, you get an STD. Or worse, a baby.

Everything has a cost.

@Tatsumi I have a saying, based on personal experience, that what ever brings great joy and pleasure, can also bring even greater pain.

No, it’s one of those things ingrained in us and if you believe it, it often turns into a self fulfilling prophecy

No, I believe that mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism can be applied to everyday things.
