Do you ever want to talk to someone who has been labeled insane, to find out how they see things?

I would love to talk to someone in a psych ward. It’d be so interesting and awesome!

I thought that's why we're here. 🤔

I talk to myself all the time.

@Redstar Thought I said it with my original answer.

@LyricalOne Well, talking to yourself doesn't have to mean you're crazy. I don't know what percentage of people who talk to themselves are also crazy but I know just doing that doesn't mean you are.
LyricalOne · F
@Redstar I’ll have to ask my other personalities about that and get back to you.

[c=#7700B2]I work in a psychiatric ward and it is interesting [/c]

[c=#7700B2]some interesting stories yes but I don't go around talking about it. [/c]

That's a shame but I think I get it. That's peoples personal life.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]exactly and some people tell me stuff in confidence and I don't ever want to betray someones trust, just like I wouldn't want someone doing that to me [/c]

Nah. I grew up with one of those. Believe me, it's not interesting or fun.

Interesting and awesome may be one way to look at it,, but when you have driven them around for 32 years it's no picnic...
Redstar · 36-40, M
@ChatterinSeuss Fair enough. Can't argue with that.

I already know firsthand.

@Redstar I was seeing patterns everywhere, people wanted to kill me, my head was full of crazy intense visions, the cops were picking up my thoughts on their radios, blue electric discharge coming off plants, pink lines in the sky, seeing through reality to the Celtic knotwork beyond, having a telepathic conversation with a deer carcass I found in the woods while hiding from said cops (that turned out to be an aspect of Buddha come to teach me about impermanence or some shit like that), loud intrusive music, a tree that was God, lots of stuff I don't remember
Redstar · 36-40, M
Wow. All of that must have been hard to come back from. Did you ever suspect it wasn't real, or were you totally convinced?
I haven't gone through any of that myself but I guess I'm a very paranoid person. Although there are times when I would've said I'm not paranoid at all. Point is, I have issues when it comes to knowing what is real and what isn't. So I get it.

@Redstar Sometimes I was aware of it and sometimes I wasn't. I got really lost in the moment and it was kind of like when you're dreaming and take all the weird stuff going on around you for granted. Your brain just kind of rationalizes it.

Luckily the times when I've been like that have been rare and not lasted very long, it would really really suck to be like that all the time. I do get weird thoughts going through my head, and visions and sometimes minor hallucinations, but I recognize them for what they are.
