Do you just block the person out of nowhere when he or she say something not liked or give them a chance for an appology and correction.

I understand that annoying and disrepectful people have to be be locked, however,if you know someone already and have a good conversation and one day something they,you do not like, do you just block them.?

I have issues where I block people.
Sometimes absolutely lovely people.
I have a fear of people.
Unfortunately due to childhood abuse.
Sometimes my protective instincts just kick in and I run in the opposite direction.
Literally to hide from a non existent threat.

I would prefer not to have these issues and be able to see other peoples pain through it. When something triggers my flight or flight response. My body acts first my brain catches up later. By then I’m already far away and confused at the same time as to what just happened.
Part of me at that time logically just thinks if I keep doing this I’m better to be away from people who don’t need this crap. So in the end it works out. I’ve protected me and them from me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
On occasion I talk myself into going back to my loved ones and try and explain what just happened.
It’s embarrasing and it’s humiliating and the same thing happens again fear just consumes me and all I feel is extreme levels of fear, high level of panic, adrenaline and I am terrified once again.
It gets tiring.

I blocked a few people the other day.
After the fear subsided I broke down and cried because those people are lovely kind people who are going through the most horrendous things.
I’m just not a good person.

@aaaabbbb Thank you and dont apologise. It’s not your fault. It’s nobody’s fault.
It’s my own demons and my own burden to carry and try to keep this away from people.
@Intissima well its okay. I wish you the best,i hope and pray you get there. At least you know and acknowledge the issues. Rest is to get help and fight and over come to help you become a better person and be happy productive part of the society.

I block vulgar, racists, hateful jagbags right away. If I have a rapport, I would approach them in DM. I know sometimes messages can get lost in translation. I also know that I won’t agree with everyone. Hopefully we can do it respectfully. I also sometimes realize that we have a difference in morality. Then there is no reason for me to continue communication with them.
@dreamsicle very good.

It really depends on what was said

I only mute people whose topics don't really interest me to unclutter the feed. Blocking is reserved for bots, certain types of trolls or those who are actually breaking the rules of this website.

if we've chatted before I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I may opt to just stop engaging with them, or depending on who they are and the context go so far as to call them out on their behaviour
Rarely. Sometimes I tell them off, other times I just go on about my day.

If I feel like someone is messing with me I block them

No I don't
No, if we’ve spoken before and been friendly, they’d have to say something pretty awful and clearly mean it before I’d block them.
@bijouxbroussard would uou tell them what was said was not liked or wrong you did not appreciate it
@aaaabbbb Yes, absolutely.
@bijouxbroussard that is good.
