Is your attitude towards marriage is based on the belief that the leap of faith caused the union?

One chooses to believe that the union will last and is willing to do anything to preserve it intact. The willingness to make a total and unconditional commitment to do whatever is necessary, predicated on the absolute conviction that it is right and good and that the couple will prevail over any difficulties?

I think most who marry believe it will last, and going into marriage they do believe they will do whatever it takes to make it last... then reality sets in, and many, many of those same people find they were wrong, that they could not make that total and unconditional commitment.
