Does anyone think that the ppl of either North Korea or China secretly wish they were a democracy?

If you were to subtract their governments and just asked the citizens what they really wanted, would they still prefer to be communists?
P.S. Oh! I should've included Russia as well!!!!

China is changing, people there have money and more freedom. NK is something different, people are starving there. Electricity for a few hours a day if at all. And to think they could be like South Korea.

sheep are never given the knowledge to choose... as if the rest of the world were given a choice and they chose democracy .. We can be proud to be in a democracy if there was an election where we voted for various forms of government.. but I don't recall any such thing anywhere in the world.

It all depends on the one who controls the military.

@Shewolfiie69 I never said it is impossible. They are ready and willing to learn, after which they can choose. But the problem is, the language. And to educate them without knowledge of their government is going to be a challenge. But the fist thing they would ask is what has democracy done to any country that communism has not done to China ?

What if they end up in a democracy like Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan or Bangladesh ?

Personally I like democracy. However I know that it is only possible given a very narrow set of parameters and is very prone to failure and in its success is the seeds of its own failure. People realize they can vote themselves rich (or so they think) and very soon democracy itself becomes dictatorship which believe it or not is humanity's normal state.
