I Am Grieving

To my husband: I love you and I miss you. I'm so sorry I wasn't holding you. I hope you were still sleeping and that you weren't afraid. I was so close to you. I hope I would've woken up if you needed me. I didn't mean to fall asleep. I dozed off for like 20 minutes and you were gone. I really wanted to be holding you. 5 months ago...I woke up at 6:30Pm and you were gone

I'm sorry for your loss Teresa. I know exactly how you feel. 7 years ago my wife died alone and scared on the floor while I was out. I never should have left her alone. I've told her many times how sorry I am, but it's never enough.
